Event 5: The Yoshi Team of 50 is a Co-Op Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, played on Rainbow Cruise as Meta Knight (P1) and Pit (P2). With two lives each, they must KO fifty Yoshis before the ship completes one lap of the course (which takes precisely 2 minutes and 12.25 seconds).
Strategy
On the hardest difficulty level, this event becomes one of the game's most challenging to complete under par. Yoshis will always spawn just above the center of the screen; so during the ship phase: up tilts from atop the crow's nest are highly effective. Elsewhere, it becomes far more difficult to dispatch the horde quickly.
Taking advantage of character load times via pausing can help to shave some time away. After KO-ing an opponent, pause and listen for the Wii to finish loading before resuming play. If timed correctly, this should help alleviate a bit of down time. Pausing while only one Yoshi remains will result in another appearing instantly.
Although they can occasionally be helpful, most items should be used sparingly.

- This event may be considered the successor to the Melee's, The Yoshi Herd, and SSB's Stage 2 in a 1P Game.
- Though the event's picture shows four Yoshis in frame, only three will appear at once during game play.
