Four Swords Brawl is an Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In it, both players work together to get 500 coins by brawling the Link colors from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure.

Strategy

This event can be reasonably difficult on Medium and Hard difficulties. This is mainly due to the balance of both teams because you don't hold advantages. It's a good idea to allocate an enemy Link for each player and take one on each, and collect the coins from the Toon Link you are attacking. If you see the other player in difficulties, you can step in and help your friend attack the other Link. The spin attack is good to attack both enemy Link's if they decide to gang on one player, and the other player can attack one of the Link's as they are sent away from the other. The Spin Attack also drops lots of lower-valued coins for quick points.

Use Arrows and the Boomerang to rack up damage from afar, and Toon Link's standard combo, down aerial, Spin Attack etc do do damage in close quarters. Save your side smash and up smash for the kill, and collect the enemies' coins as they rain down upon defeat.

Remember, as soon as one player dies, the Event is lost, so share the burden of collecting coins or attacking as you see fit, and protect the damaged player. But make sure your constantly collecting coins, because you may find you can reach 500 coins before the Toon Link's have a even a chance to finish you. Collect coins by dodge rolling, and mix in air dodges, if you are in peril.

Remember to pay attention as the normal Toon Link is player 1 while the red Toon Link is player 2.
