Chef Kawasaki is a recurring character featured in the Kirby series. He debuted in Kirby Super Star as a mid-boss.
Origin[]
Chef (Cook in the original) Kawasaki originally appeared in Super Star and Super Star Ultra as the source for the Cook ability, which later became Kirby’s Final Smash in Brawl. He would try to use his ladle to grab Kirby or his helper and cook them with his frying pan, or throw saucepans at them. He later reappears in Star Allies.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
Kawasaki appears as sticker, which boosts the equipped characters' launch resistance.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
Chef Kawasaki appears as an Assist Trophy. When summoned, he will begin to wander around the stage, hitting, then eventually capturing, fighters with his ladle on the platform he is on. He'll then begin to put anything, including fighters, he caught into his cauldron and start cooking them. When he leaves, he'll leave behind any food that he made on the stage for those to eat. Like in the original games, he can shoot out table ware as projectiles.
Kawasaki also appears as a spirit obtainable in World Of Light. When equipped, the fighter gets increased stats after eating food.

- Chef Kawasaki is named after the motorcycle brand Kawasaki, as his creator was a HAL Laboratory designer who is a fan of motorcycles.
