Special Attacks
- Witch Time's duration is now dependent on the power of the attack it counters.
- Witch Time can now be triggered multiple times during the animation.[1]
Moveset
Bayonetta can extend any of her ground and aerial attacks into Bullet Arts. If the button is held during an attack, Bayonetta's combo will be broken and she will shoot bullets from her guns, shooting up to ten times. Each bullet deals roughly 1% damage, and have very long reach. The bullets functions very differently from standard projectiles, instead being more like disjointed hitboxes; they only make opponents flinch at point-blank range, much like Fox's Blaster, meaning they have transcending priority, but cannot be reflected. For instance, Link's and Toon Link's Hylian Shield, and any reflectors are completely ineffective. The bullets are also capable of piercing through multiple people at once, meaning they will hit anyone or anything in their path, not just those closest to Bayonetta.
Ground Attacks
Normal
- Neutral Attack: Bayonetta punches forth once, then a second time, and then does a backhand punch and uppercut. Rapdily pressing the attack button during the third strike results in a close-quarters flurry of strikes that finishes with a single strong strike.
- Forward Tilt: Bayonetta kicks forwards; pressing the button a second and third time will have her throw two more kicks, each of those kicks being thrown higher than the previous one.
- Up Tilt: Bayonetta does an upwards strike with one hand.
- Down Tilt: Bayonetta sweeps one leg across the ground.
- Dash Attack: Bayonetta lunges forwards, punching with one gun.
Smash Attacks
- Forward Smash: Bayonetta summons a giant demon fist that punches forwards.
- Up Smash: Bayonetta summons a giant demon fist that uppercuts in front of herself.
- Down Smash: Bayonetta summons a giant demon foot that stomps downwards in front of herself; will spike airborne opponents or opponents hanging on ledges.

Aerial Attacks
- Neutral aerial: Bayonetta spins around with one leg extended to kick to each side.
- Forward aerial: Bayonetta punches forwards; pressing the button again will have her throw a second punch, and then a third button press will have her throw a kick.
- Back aerial: Bayonetta kicks backwards.
- Up aerial: Bayonetta kicks overhead.
- Down aerial: Bayonetta does a descending guillotine kick.
