- This article is about the Battlefield in its Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U form. For other uses, see Battlefield.
Battlefield (戦場 Senjō?) was first revealed at the E3 2013 Nintendo Direct for both the Wii U and 3DS versions. It is the standard fighting stage in the game to practice just like in its previous version.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Duck Hunt is fought here during its unlocking battle.
Stage design
Battlefield has the same basic layout in both versions, featuring a long stone platform with three floating soft platforms. Much like its Brawl incarnation, natural elements are present on the stage, and the background cycles through day and night.
The Wii U version is more circular with grass, and the ruins of a temple make up the bottom of the stage. On the left side of the background several temple ruins can be spotted on small floating islands, while the right side of the background the ruins of a dome are visible alongside two banners with the Smash Bros. logo emblazoned on it.
The 3DS version is more rectangular and is primarily composed of stone. A stream of water flows from the underside of the stage, with the entire bottom being composed of rocks. In the background of the stage are two trees and some rocks. The stage is featured on a background with mountains.
