The Back Shield appears as an item. Wearing this will protect the user from attacks aimed at their back, as it will deflect solid projectiles and absorb energy ones. It can also push opponents backward a short distance if it makes contact with them, but won't damage them. It is worn on the character's back, leaving their hands free to grab other items.
Trophy Description
This durable, defensive shield comes to Smash Bros. from Kid Icarus: Uprising. If you pick it up, it will attach itself to you, protecting your back from most threats. It won't stop grabs or piercing attacks, however, and it only lasts so long before vanishing.
