The Arcade Bunny (バイト, Part-Timer) is the mascot of the eShop-exclusive free-to-play Nintendo 3DS game Nintendo Badge Arcade.
He joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a summonable Assist Trophy. A piece of Headgear for the Mii Fighters modeled after him is also available in the base game.
Character Description[]
The Arcade Bunny as he appears in Nintendo Badge Arcade.
The Arcade Bunny is an employee of the Nintendo Badge Arcade, serving as the game's host and guide. He is a very enthusiastic and cheerful bunny, citing this being his dream job and is always eager to help the player with how the game works. Upon starting the game, the Arcade Bunny will appear to inform the player on any new badges and daily updates that are available, during which he will share his knowledge on the games the badges come from as well as tell jokes and act out impressions. Afterwards, he will stick around during regular gameplay to encourage and cheer on the player. He will also handle payment from the player for more free plays as well as warn them about the dangers of turning off the game during gameplay.
The crane that accompanies the Bunny in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the standard crane the game uses in both Badge Catcher mode and Practice Catcher mode. To control it, the player must hold the A button or the yellow button on the Nintendo 3DS's touch screen to move it to the left; it will stop when the player lets go or the crane hits the wall. Depending on the type of board, other types of cranes are also available, usually being one with a hammer and another with a bomb to drop.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
Assist Trophy[]
The Arcade Bunny appears as summonable Assist Trophy. Upon being summoned, the Arcade Bunny will reside in the background while a red arcade crane similar to the ones used from his game appears from the top of the screen. The crane moves side-to-side from the top of the stage scouting for fighters to grab. Once the crane nabs a character, its victim becomes immobile as the crane slowly ascends past the top blast zone in a similar fashion to the Beetle and the Boss Galaga, though they can escape if the player repeatedly wiggles the control stick. The claw will continue to be in use until its three plays (which are indicated by the number on the claw) run out or if the claw has successfully caught an opponent, whichever comes first.
Mii Fighter Costume[]
Headgear for the Mii Fighters modeled after the Arcade Bunny's head is available in the base game. It must be purchased from the Shop for 450G.
Spirit[]
A Spirit of the Arcade Bunny is available in the base game. It is a Support Spirit under the Advanced class. His Spirit Battle uses Isabelle wearing the Bunny Hood and is assisted by the Arcade Bunny himself, while only the only item that will spawn is the Franklin Badge. The stage is the Battlefield Form of PictoChat 2, as both PictoChat and Nintendo Badge Arcade are utility games, and the song that plays is fittingly "Arcade Bunny's Theme".

Trivia[]
- The Arcade Bunny cannot be summoned on moving stages (Rainbow Cruise, Big Blue, Mushroomy Kingdom, 3D Land, Pac-Land), overly large stages (Temple, New Pork City, The Great Cave Offensive, Palutena's Temple), smaller stages (King of Fighters Stadium, Minecraft World), stages with intrusions in the way of the upper blast zone (Mario Bros., Boxing Ring, Garden of Hope, Great Plateau Tower, Mementos, Garreg Mach Monastery, Spring Stadium, Mishima Dojo), stages with multi-layered platforms (Luigi's Mansion, Tomodachi Life, Wrecking Crew, Moray Towers), stages with irregular design (Brinstar Depths, Pokémon Stadium), or rotating stages due to his placement (Spiral Mountain).
- The writing on the Arcade Bunny's nametag, which originally said ABCDE, has been removed from his Spirit artwork for unknown reasons. His in-game model also replaces it with "A. Bunny"
