The Ancient Minister:the master R.O.B.
The Ancient Minister is the leader of the Subspace Army. He is similar in appearance to the race of Ancients in the Paper Mario series, such as Merlon. He is a limbless, possibly robotic entity who floats as if utilizing anti-gravity. Considering the Ancient Minister's appearance and the big role he serves, he is likely that there is more to him than meets the eye.
Role in the Subspace Army
The Ancient Minister is, in fact, not the one behind the Subspace Emissary, and is not a boss either. Everytime R.O.B.s are ordered to activate the Subspace Bomb, the Ancient Minister would leave in despair as he watches his comrades fall. At one point, when Samus, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, Olimar, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong manage to infiltrate the base where dozens of inactive R.O.B.s and Subspace Bombs are being held, along with a saddened Ancient Minister, a hologram of Ganondorf appears, and he orders the R.O.B.s to activate the bombs. Seeing as how he would annihilate all of them, the Ancient Minister protests and attempts to prevent them from following Ganondorf's orders. Seeing this, Ganondorf activates an override which forces the R.O.B.s to attack the Ancient Minister, and vanishes. As the big turning point of the game, the Ancient Minister's armor is burned and turns out to be a heroic R.O.B. in disguise and was being manipulated by Ganondorf.
The Ancient Minister's trophy states he was once the ruler of 'this world' who lived on The Floating Island of the Ancients with the R.O.B.s. Tabuu wanted the R.O.B.s to work constructing Subspace bombs, and convinced the Minister to order them to do this and lead the Subspace Army.
As a trophy
The trophy is one of the challenges and can only be unlocked by successfully completing the Subspace Emissary.
- Description
- The commander of the Subspace Army who uses Supspace Bombs to tear up this world. He was once the lord of this world, living on the floating Island of the Ancients with many robots-but the robots were taken hostage on Tabuu's orders. Now that their home's a bomb factory, the robots carry out their functions while enduring deep sadness caused by the loss of their colleagues.
