The Ancient Bow and Arrow is Link's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, replacing his original Final Smash, Triforce Slash.
Overview[]
Similarly to Zelda and Sheik's Final Smash, Light Arrow, Link will shoot an Ancient Arrow straight in front of him. The arrow travels quickly along the whole stage, and enemies cannot move during that time like they can during Marth's Critical Hit. Unlike Light Arrow, however, the Ancient Arrow stops once it hits an opponent rather than going all the way across the stage. If an opponent is hit by it, they will take 30% damage as they are caught in a small explosion. This move deals mediocre knockback when the enemy is below 30% and is pretty useless in that situation, but at 30% or higher it can easily OHKO an enemy no matter where they are in the stage.
Origin[]
The Ancient Bow and Arrows debuted in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They are the most powerful arrows Link uses, with the bow being able to shoot arrows without being affected by gravity and the arrows themselves blasting most enemies into oblivion while still dealing great damage to Guardians and bosses.
