"Afternoon on the Island" refers to set of music tracks found in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Both of these tracks are medleys of two of the daytime tracks from Tomodachi Life and its prequel, Tomodachi Collection. The first medley, titled "Tomodachi Life" in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, played on the stage Tomodachi Life where both the track and the stage reappeared in Ultimate. Along with those two items, Ultimate introduced a more upbeat version of "Tomodachi Life" now being dubbed "Afternoon on the Island." The 3DS/Wii U remix also got its name changed to "Afternoon on the Island (for 3DS and Wii U)."
On October 2nd on the Super Smash Blog, "Afternoon on the Island" was revealed previewing an abridged version of the full track. This version omits the daytime theme from Tomodachi Collection and cuts off part of the daytime theme from Tomodachi Life.
