1P Game (also known as 1P Mode, or single-player) was the campaign game in the Nintendo 64 game. It was resurrected as Classic mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee. There are fourteen stages including bonus stages. Players may choose their character and their number of lives.

List of stages

  1. Link on Hyrule Castle.
  2. Yoshi team (18) on Yoshi's Island. These Yoshi are lightweight and easy to KO.
  3. Fox McCloud on Sector Z.
  4. Break the Targets (bonus stage).
  5. Mario and Luigi on Princess Peach's Castle. The player is given a random ally to help them on this match.
  6. Pikachu in Saffron City.
  7. Giant Donkey Kong on Kongo Jungle. The player is given two allies to help them on this match.
  8. Board the Platforms (bonus stage)
  9. Kirby team (8) on Dreamland. These Kirbys are lightweight and easy to KO.
  10. Samus on Planet Zebes.
  11. Metal Mario on a special stage (has one platform above the main one and cannot be played outside of single player mode).
  12. Race to the Finish {bonus stage}.
  13. Fighting Polygon Team (30) on the Battlefield (cannot be played outside of single player mode). These polygons are lightweight and easy to defeat.
  14. Master Hand on the Final Destination (cannot be played outside of single player mode). He has 300hp. Depleting his hp is the only way to KO him as opposed to the usual damage counter.
